1 in 5 children in NZ experience child poverty. Our vision is to empower the next generation by partnering with child facilities to positively impact children in their learning environment. Your contribution towards this will make a huge difference.

We are a not for profit organisation, standing for and with the community, breaking down barriers where struggling families need help.

Recently we worked with Te Papapa Preschool, Auckland in response to an article in RNZ about poverty affecting our next generation. We raised $3000 to cover 10 weeks of food budget for 43 children over winter and delivered 10 bags of warm clothes and shoes.

While we were there, a girl aged around 4 came outside wearing jandals, no jacket and looked very cold.  We gave her a new warm jacket and so she could play outside in the winter air and her face lit up. It was very moving and reinforced why we are doing this!

After 10 weeks, Liz, Centre Manager reported back that the children were settled, sleeping better and more engaged - A great result of how the community can come together and make a huge difference.

Since then we have;

  • Raised funds for 50 Christmas presents for Tamariki Footsteps (Otara), with the support of local police and Santa.
  • Sourced $2000 funding from Mercury to supply $50 a week worth of fruit (delivered for 6 months)
  • Raised funds for 58 families of Rongomai Primary school (Otara) who struggle over Christmas with 58 grocery boxes, Christmas presents, clothes and shoes donated from communities.
  • Gifted 4 large boxes and bags of toys (some new), clothes and baby supplies for Rongomai Kohanga reo and families.

Many children in low-income areas are growing up in overcrowded housing and a nutritious meal is very rare in most conditions.

By donating to this cause you will be supporting children's growth and development, in providing vital nutrients like protein, Carbohydrates, Fats, Calcium, Iron, Folate, Fiber, vitamin A, B and C.

We need your help to empower more children in their learning environments. Please donate by choosing one of the below levels of support and we will send an invoice, display your company logo on all our communications and provide a Certificate of Merit and report with photos of the children thriving in their learning environments.
